Barbie Crochet Cotillion Ball Gown Handmade
Shown here is the Barbie doll, the gown, shawl collar, crocheted shoes, crocheted panties, black choker rhinestone necklace, rhinestone earrings, rhinestone tiara and the stand.
There are 5 layers of the tulle on a wire hoop underskirt of black crochet. The top skirt is an intricate lacy crochet pattern of picot stitches finished with a black crochet lace edging. A separate lacy piece was crocheted to hold the rose colored ribbon woven in around the overskirt pattern and tied in the front with a bow.
Three little pads were crocheted to hold the grouping of the tiny pink and mauve ribbon roses that adorn the front and each side.
The bodice is a strapless black crochet and a lacy crochet shawl collar goes around the shoulders and neck and meets in the front with a pink ribbon rose for decoration.
This outfit took about a week to make and involves thousands of stitches.
